Law firm website design companies build or rebuild a firm's site: the pages, the copy, the forms and the phone paths a prospective client has to find in one visit.
This page compares the companies a small or mid-size firm shortlists for that job, on published website prices, contract terms and ownership language instead of scores.
The what-and-why of the design itself lives in our law firm website design guide, and this page is the who, plus the checks to run before signing one.
Having a site is settled either way: 90% of respondents to the ABA's 2024 Legal Technology Survey reported having one, including 70% of solos (survey respondents, not a census).
How this list was built
We started from what Google returns for this search and from the published roundups, then checked every company on its own website in the first week of October 2026.
Grow Law, LawRank and On The Map each published a roundup that ranked itself first, so no rank number appears below.

The companies that publish website prices
Six publish enough on the build to compare before a call.
PaperStreet
PaperStreet is a Fort Lauderdale law firm web design and marketing company incorporated in 2001 by attorney Pete Boyd (its site, October 2026).
Its pricing page quotes flat-rate website tiers: Essentials from about $3,000 in total first-year cost including hosting, support and platform; Plus from $9,500; Custom from $15,000 to above $25,000; and Enterprise from $40,000.
Its comparison pages say clients own the website from day one, and that most firms need only about $1,000 per year in support after launch.
Postali
Postali began in 2009 as a boutique agency serving lawyers and works from Columbus, Ohio (its site, October 2026).
Its pricing page lists website packages, Core starting at $2,500 and Crest starting at $6,500 with Peak at custom pricing, without saying whether those figures are one-time or monthly.
Grow Law
Grow Law is a Fort Lauderdale legal marketing agency founded in 2008, built for firms with 2 to 10 or more attorneys (its site, October 2026).
Its pricing page lists website design from $599/mo, SEO from $2,500/mo and PPC from $1,450/mo, with ad spend billed directly to the firm.
JurisPage
JurisPage is a law-firm-only agency for firms of 1 to 25 attorneys (its site, October 2026).
Its pricing page starts at $2,500/month over a 24-month engagement, typically $2,500 to $4,000/month, with no setup fee and the build cost spread across the term.
Setup is supposed to go live in 45 days, website included.
Its pricing FAQ says clients own the domain, the website and the content, and everything transfers if you leave.
In February 2026 it was acquired by Ethical SEO Consulting LLC, the company behind Juris Digital, so the two are one owner.
Juris Digital
Juris Digital is the Denver brand of Ethical SEO Consulting, founded in 2015, with website design and development leading a services list of SEO, GEO and paid media (its site, October 2026).
Its facts page says pricing is scoped per firm.
JurisPage's pricing page says Juris Digital partnerships start at $20,000+/month for firms with a monthly marketing budget of at least $20,000.
Its pages differ on terms, a 12-month agreement in the homepage FAQ and none on the FAQ page, and whether the $20,000 floor includes ad spend is not spelled out.
On The Map Marketing
On The Map is a Miami agency with law firms as its core focus (its site, October 2026).
Its pricing guide lists website design at $5,000 to $15,000+, and its law page publishes PPC management at $1,000 per month or 10% of your ad budget, whichever is greater, plus spend.
The companies where website pricing is not published
Scorpion
Scorpion is not legal-only (it also serves HVAC), and its law offer covers website development, SEO, AI search, digital ads and intake (its site, October 2026).
Its FAQ says a website launch typically ranges from four to 10 weeks, and that clients own their website after the contract completes but not "the underlying system", its proprietary CMS.
The same FAQ says leaving means transferring analytics, social accounts and content, and needing another vendor to rebuild the website.
MeanPug
MeanPug is a New York agency founded in 2020 by two former Morgan & Morgan directors (its site, October 2026).
Rankings.io
Rankings.io was founded in 2013 and niched down to personal injury firms in 2018 (its site, October 2026).
Its FAQ puts the contract at "Month-to-month. No handcuffs." and makes every asset the client's.
LawRank, more than a decade of law-firm-only rankings, lists web design and offers short-term PPC contracts (its site, October 2026).
Custom Legal Marketing, operating since 2005, sells websites under a No Competition guarantee that keeps it from working with any competing lawyers in your city (its site, October 2026).
How these companies charge, and what the rules say
Read together, the published pages price the website four ways (flat build fee, build inside a monthly retainer, monthly subscription, build plus hosting support), and the ads around the site price differently again: percentage-of-spend fees with a floor, per-piece content, pay-per-lead, per-call intake.
Not one page we checked in October 2026 listed a pay-per-signed-case price.
On paying at all, the comments to ABA Model Rule 7.2 say lawyers may pay vendors who provide marketing or client-development services, website designers included.
How the fee is built is the separate question: ABA Model Rule 5.4(a) says a lawyer or firm shall not share legal fees with a nonlawyer outside narrow exceptions, which is why per-case pricing differs from a flat monthly fee.
Model Rules bind no one until a state adopts them and your state's version controls, so confirm any fee structure with your state bar's ethics counsel or an ethics lawyer.
What to check before you hire one
The checks that matter are the ones legal shoppers say firms fail, and Clio's 2024 research on legal shoppers puts numbers on the first two.
How hiring works
Clio's 2024 shopper research found only 30% could easily understand how to hire the firm.
What it costs
Only 14% could find pricing information.
The basics, disclosed
NN/g's research found sites that omit contact details or what a price includes were almost immediately ruled out.
The same study found 73% of shoppers who connected with a firm were unlikely to recommend it, shoppers' judgments rather than a conversion study.
Check the design on a phone: Statcounter measured US page views in September 2026 at 49.1% mobile and 48.47% desktop, so trust your own GA4 report on the split.
Check where the number sits: in a 2013 Google/Ipsos survey of 3,000 US smartphone searchers, 70% had used click to call from search results, and 47% said they would be more likely to explore other brands without a phone number there.
Ask what the company changes about accessibility: the ADA lists the office of a lawyer among public accommodations (42 U.S.C. §12181(7)(F)), and DOJ's March 18, 2022 guidance reads the ADA's effective-communication duty as reaching web content while publishing no detailed standard for businesses.
The guidance points to WCAG and Section 508 as helpful references, courts are split on how Title III applies to websites, and an accessibility lawyer should look at your site.

- More Booked Cases
The shoppers who weigh a firm's website most are the youngest: in Clio's 2019 survey, 49% of Gen Z and 48% of Millennials said they care about a lawyer's website, against 21% of Boomers (smaller subsamples).
If the design is fine and the numbers are not, the option here is not a redesign: More Booked Cases runs conversion testing on the site you already have.
It is a one-person consultancy run by Gabe Meierotto, working with US law firms only, and it does not build websites.
CRO is $2,500/mo for one controlled test a month on click-to-call placement, forms, scheduling and trust signals, or $5,000/mo paired with local SEO, each on a 6-month minimum.
Each test is judged by consultations booked and cases signed, with read access to the firm's intake or CRM numbers, not by form fills alone.
The record behind the work is Gabe's, not a law firm one: as Director of CRO at LaserAway from 2018 to 2023, sitewide conversion went from 3% to 11% on a testing program that returned 210x.
In click-to-call tests he ran at Sourcely before LaserAway, conversion rate rose by up to 50% in some cases on website-initiated calls, which is website testing experience, not an intake or signed-case result.
The element-by-element version of that work is in law firm website conversion.
If you commission a build from one of the companies above, treat the launch as version one and test against it.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take a law firm website design company to launch a site?
Two companies here publish a timeline: Scorpion's FAQ says a website launch typically ranges from four to 10 weeks, and JurisPage says setup, including a website, goes live in 45 days. Most publish no timeline, so ask for a date before you sign.
Who owns my law firm's website if I leave the design company?
PaperStreet says clients own their website from day one with no buyout clause, JurisPage's pricing FAQ says the domain, site and content transfer if you leave, and Scorpion's FAQ says you own your website after the contract completes but not the underlying system. Get the ownership answer in writing.
Do law firm website design companies also run ads?
Most of the full-service companies here list Google Ads alongside design, several list Local Services Ads, and MeanPug lists Meta ad campaigns (JurisPage's list names none). More Booked Cases is the exception on this page: it runs managed Meta ads and does not manage Google Ads or Local Services Ads.
Is a redesign the only way to get more consultations from my website?
No. Conversion testing changes click-to-call placement, forms, scheduling and trust signals on the site you already have, one controlled test a month, judged by consultations booked and cases signed.
What should I ask a law firm website design company before signing?
Total price and year-two cost, minimum term, who owns the domain, CMS and content if you leave, who writes the copy, and how the company will judge whether the redesign worked. The checklist above covers the rest.
